We have been teaching private guitar lessons in Southern Pines since 2006 and now have 12 teachers.
If you want to learn guitar, play with friends, gig around town or pursue music in college, you’ve found the right place - we have a teacher for that!
The studio opened as Sandhills School of Performing Arts when Baxter returned to the Sandhills from New York and chose to continue his teaching career here.
Since then we have brought in new teachers who all ♫ LOVE MUSIC ♫. Their individual experiences range from touring musician to doctorate to self taught — and a variety of musical styles to provide lessons in any style.
In 2019, we expanded into a space around the corner from Casino Guitars where our teachers have 4 private teaching rooms and families have ample space to wait before or during lessons.

The teaching studio is located in downtown Southern Pines, around the corner from Casino Guitars and just across Pennsylvania Ave from the downtown park.
Our shop, one of the premier boutique guitar shops in the nation is located just around the corner from the lesson studio. You can stop by and check out our incredible selection of New and Pre-Owned guitars as well as guitar accessories before or after lessons.
